A Swiss couple decide to sell it all in Switzerland and travel the world and then they like Goa and camp for a while here in Goa. Can I do this in about 10 years ? May be if this earth stays in one piece. Ohh yea we just had December Rains in India. New weather patterns, Copenhagen and what not. We will see it all... SO if you guys get a chance come down to Goa soon....

I was in Mysore

They claim it to be the famous botanical gardens in India. I would rather not get into rating it. Its just a garden. Botany is good in classrooms. Its good to be there in the evenings - the lighting is superb. Will post a few more pics when I m home.

Bangalore gets graffiti...

This is innovative. Roadside walls are getting grafitti. The artists are making cash and the fellow poster mongers stay away from dirtying the walls. And bangalore stays clean till they dirty it.. Cos dirtying is still not enforceable here. Cheers Bangalore..

Time for Candids...

As I have said before it takes couple of minutes for me to move from civilisation to minus 20 years. Technically I live in a village. A village which is about 5 kms from main town and not too far away from good forest cover. But my village is also dotted with some colorful modern concrete houses. Yea now thats fine cos I stay in a concrete structure too.

Yea from the vagabonding of last sunday - I captured this lady getting back home probably from her days sell of vegetables or probably working in her fields. Captured her in the act of running her hand over her hair..

Also note the tiled roof house in the background. You find a lot of them in Goa.

Sunset and more

It takes looking beyond the blinds of my office cabin to get this beautiful sunset. Its was crimson setting this evening while my dad was wondering about the never diminishing awe I have for such natures creation. And probably growing with me...

Could we say a better Sunset ?? ;)

Hazy skies give out hazy sunsets :(
well thats one reason I have stayed away from the beach today. Was wondering if I should go to the shoreline and shoot a few pics...but the skies were grey and so were the moods. Sometime I wonder how much i got right under my feet which I miss upon. This beautiful place is about 2 kms from my home. And it took me 30 years to get there.. :)

Take off...

Done for the Day...

Eagle Cut...

An Eagle carrying twig to build its nest. Seemed like its wing had a cut.

Interiors of Goa.

Goa is a small state and what I just realised is that a small 20 kms drive would take you into wild. This is something we never thought of. We are so lucky to have beach and then drive off a small distance and bingo you get wilderness. I am blessed to be born in Goa.

River Side Landscape of Goa.

Goa is famous for its beaches. A lot of tourists visiting Goa miss out on the riverside beauty of Goa. I was driving around interiors of Goa with 2 friends who are travelling across India and we came to this place. My dad used to live in this part of Goa and as a kid I would cross this river as a short cut and some fun while going to school. Got to re-live this old memories.

Our very own Narkasur...Happy Diwali

Yes this was made by our group of friends. And he was my buddy for that evening - Now that he is gone and burnt on the eve of Diwali - I wish all the bloggers a Happy Diwali ( although a belated) . My wishes to all of you that goodness prevails over all the evils around us. Enjoy your life. Be good. :)

Diwali in Goa

The Narkasurs of Goa
Goa is the only place in India where the custom of making and burning the effigies of narkasurs take place on the eve of Diwali. Diwali is basically the celebration of the victory of lord krishna over the demon narkasur. On the eve of the diwali these narkasur effigies in various shapes and sizes are prepared and then paraded - some for fun, some for money and some for competetion. Yes there are competetions organised in various towns of Goa and the Narkasurs are paraded in the town to compete - kind of competetion of the superior of the Evils. Our group of friends had our very own home made or home bred narkasur. watch for the pictures in the next post.

Made in Punjab and NO where else...

Check this out. This is funky. Yea totally funk. This is not mass produced vehicle. It is in the likes of Harley Davidson only to the extent of hand crafting. Rest all is indigenous. This public carrier is certainly made locally in Punjab. Punjab is a state of innovations. You give scrap to the people and they certainly will apply grey areas of the their existence and pull out a innovation which would help people.
