Hey ANUP ..Can u see Eddie stare at you...look into those dark eyes..

this is an exclusive posting for Anup and for all the reasons he could not come for the Iron Maiden show. The Beast in him is seeing the dark.... ;) " He left alone, his mind was dark and now he needs time to think to get the memories from his mind.. " -- Dude it just came out so aptly.. I did not plan to do this.. But I cant erase it too... As they say 'The Devil sends the Beast with wrath, because he knows the time is short..' I can see u smiling. :) But u keep asking.. 'Can i play with madness' --- Posted by Picasa

After a long spell of Silence...

Another of those long spells of silence. So much done from the last update of that shitty cricket match update in Goa. Travelled to Bangalore for a smashing Iron Maiden Show. We had Anup inaugurating his new flat at Porvorim. The weather has changed from the nice and feel good winter time to warm, sultry, humid summer. I hate this part of the year in Goa.

The news of Iron Maiden making it to India hit me in November 2006. Damn it couldnt believe it. I have come across rounds of stuff like Metallica coming to India blah blah, but nothing. So i assumed it to be one of those rumours. Well by January I had my tickets booked for travel to Bangalore. Yea I got them for 10 bucks plus taxes. Still no confirmed news on Iron Maiden. Just about the beginning of March we got to see some signs of Iron Maiden coming our way.

And before we could blink our eyes they came, conquered and left. Guys, this is the best shows I have seen in INDIA. And hats off to DNA. what a show!!! The damn floor was covered, so we had no dust. The whole fuckin Bangalore was smokin pot out there..Guys it was amazing. And someone missed all the action. We had our dude Anup missing out on the whole show. Now again only Anup knows why... I have anyways planned on attaching a pic of his Pass that I had with me.... now i know a lot of you guys would want to stone him for that pass that I carry as a momento...

The show was supposed to be a EDDFEST a tour of their new album Matter of life and Death.. but guys believe me they played the Best of Iron Maiden. We had Bruce with loads of energy, jumping all over the stage..Guys, Bruce is one helluva dude... at this age he rocked... during the show he would disappear back stage.. we all counted on he smoking backstage ..;) ..Steve Harris rocked as ever... and then we had the Janick Gers. I was blown... they were just too much for India.. this Show just rocked. For all those who missed it.. I dont have words.. Posted by Picasa

Iron Dude...at the maiden show.

This boy hanging from one of those towers for the speakers had a blast... This piece of stoned idiot jumps off the Rs.900 barricade and runs for his life..climbs up this tower.. Gets out a rolled joint and smokes it.. and even better offers it to the cops standing down below to lay thier hands on him. Isnt that cool? He gets the whole of the crowd from the back row to scream for him.. he instigates them to jump the barricades and enter the rs.1500 area... Hats off to his guts.. and then he manages to snatch his run from the hands of the cops and the DNA guys who were waiting to lay his hands on him.. man he kept our adrenalin rushing for about 15 minutes.. Posted by Picasa

Cricket...

I wasnt really interested in going in for this match played today in Goa between Sri Lanka and India... Just a day before the match I dont know why I got this feeling that I should probably try this match...for I dont know if I would be still having the time to do this in future.. take a whole day off from work, that too midweek..

It all started with unsuccesful attempts to obtain some sort of passes for the match.. then i get this call from Dad saying one of our friend has this 2 passes for me. Cool... I jump off in excitement and there I am off to the match..and guess what we had kinda VIP passes with morning snacks and lunch from coffee day.. and not to forget the beer..certainly from UB..

I think I should share this anxiety episode with you guys. I slept off early which cut thru my sleep cycle. I generally dont sleep until past midnight. And then I jump off the bed when I hear some dogs barking and not realising what was the sound, assuming it to be my alarm clock at 6 am... seemingly puzzled as to why was I still muddled at head inspite of the good nights sleep. I was my face and then I get clear and try to figure out whats happening. I had no clue what I was doing. It was 10 minutes past 00 Hrs... what a relief ... I would not have managed to carry myself to the stadium in that muddled state.. I was off to sleep in flat 10 seconds... Yea you call this anxiety attack... or whatever...

We were at the stadium at 7.30 am.. got in by about 8 am.. amazing crowd...probably would have filled in 70% o the crowd by them... match got to a start by 9.30 am and the men in blue rocked... sri lankans were not allowed to be sri lankans in Goa. Well for the match details get ur hands onto some criket site... Check out some pics i got on my mobile at the stadium...

Back to Riding...

Another Sunday - some more confusion & indecision and I was on my way to ride my Thunderbird -- off to -- dont know
-- but ended up riding to Karwar.
I had almost surrendered to the fact that I would no longer be doing any riding after I sold off my Machismo. And it
has been 2 yrs since I did that. A dream would always wake me up -- that is me riding to Leh. And this dream led me
to contemplate getting another Bullet. Yea it took some convincing & bitterness from my dad & mom to have them say
'YES' to my plans of riding. Flashback - They dont know how I got them cheated into buying me a Bullet while I was
still a student and had a serious knee injury. After I got my plaster off the left leg, the first thing I was told
was U cant ride a Bike and a serious NO to anything like a Bullet. got that Doc to shut up and say nothin to my
folks. And yea within 6 months of that I was throttling a 350cc beast. Yea thats me when I set my mind on something
atleast when it comes to having non living entities........
And on Sunday I had company...Yea see below....;)

Movin on to riding.. We started off from Margao and in no time we were crusing along the Karmal ghat and into Canacona- but with numb bums. Not used to riding, we 3 were suffering from Numb-bum syndrome. Blood wasnt flowing back there, some water and short break put things into the rear perspective. It was certain that if we had to settle ourselves at Palolem we would have been there the whole day guzzling some semi alcoholics till we fall apart and I wasnt keen on doing that. A little push on moving onto riding somemore got Doc onto his saddle and we were off riding through the mountians into Poiguinim and then Polem and finally the straight stretch of road to Karwar which has been as inviting as it could get for couple of decades.

We took a small break at the karwar bridge to get the rear upfront and then decided to move onto Amruth for some snacks. Coupla beer, peanuts, Fish, Squids, Mussels .......... Ahhhhhh that felt awesome. A subtle lightness in the veins got me to enjoy the ride even better. Now we were heading straight into the Palolem...Cafe Del Mar. Some more of those strange looking, nice smelling liquids. And we were soothing nerves. After an hour we decide to ride back to Margao. Well all big things have a small beginning. I have set my mind onto riding. Given the time & physical fitness i dont know how far would I go. But hearts are set on Leh. Lets see what
time brings in.
