Trekking this Sunday.
Parag took the lead this time and had a new place to hit. Well this place is not a conventional trekking joint, we just decided to take our hit to the Bhagwati Temple, remotely located off the village of Mashem. We were not sure about the route, so we got Kushal along with us and there we were with our hats on, in the mid day hot sun burning through our hats.
It wasnt a long trek but quite a scenic place. A lot of unusual fauna and flora, knee high blades of grass that monsoon has left behind and bushy vegetation just enough to hide in any wild animal. This hillock merges straight into the wild life sanctuary of Coitgao and the western ghats, so you could chance upon some wildlife. But we were hoping not to, for we were atleast 2 kms away from nearest habitation.

Finally .........
Kushal announcing the arrival at the temple.... kushal is Parags cousin and enjoys bits of adventure....
Inside the Devi Bhagwati Temple...
Located remotely off the Mashem village, the only way to reach here is the trek we took. Dont know much history about this place, but definitely there is a lot to this remote a location of the temple.
Anup on his way down to the pond...
Few years back a tiger lived in the caves just besides the pond & this kept us on our toes for sometime. When you are there a eerie feeling descends on you and to add our dude Parag could all the while hear some noises, and even a battery low beep skipped a heart beat..

Rameshwaram Beach
Supposedly the place where Shri Ram pulled his bow-string to calm the rough waves of the ocean so that they could construct the bridge to Lanka. I did find it still. Ram knows what he did.....
